Programs galore. Our enthusiastic staff love to plan new and engaging programs by hosting authors, experts and community partners from many areas of intertest. There’s something for everyone. We have loads of children’s programs and activities along with plenty of ideas for adults and we would never forget teens! We’ve got them covered with teen cafes, volunteer opportunities, and more.
Discovery Zones. From a large format printer to Adobe Creative Cloud to an audio booth, the technology found in our Discovery Zones connect learners with the tools to create something remarkable.
World Languages. We have an impressive list of language and newcomer resources along with eBooks, streaming videos, audio books on our world languages webpage. It's loaded with materials and that's not all! We've recently added an exciting option for children focused on world languages called Lote4Kids.
Our spaces. We love to gather regular feedback from our patrons. It helps us learn and grow while we work hard on meeting the needs of our patrons. We consistently hear our spaces provide a sense of connection and belonging. Each location is interwoven into the community, while the entire Whitby Library system aims to provide a sense of wellbeing. This is the core of what we do.
